There aren't many good photos of the band without Dan looking like a homeless man or Pat's goofy facial features being "taken advantage of."

It's kind of embarrassing but I only just got into them very recently! I actually saw them live last summer and absolutely loved them and I also loved their song on the Eclipse soundtrack innocent but I never got around buying their album and only just finally got it last week I've been listening to it non-stop since then, of course.

It ought to be everyone's favorite. Lots of people have jumped on the band wagon with these guys' sound. It's really cool, blues-y rock. B) Hardcore, bro.

i can't believe there wasn't a thread on these guys already!

i got into them right before Brothers came out and ended up pre-ordering their cd because i heard "Never Gonna Give You Up" and thought that their cover was phenomenal...

upon the first listen i was wondering if i had made a mistake buying the cd, but it's definitely one of those albums that gets better and better with every listen and in the end it was one of my favorite albums of the year...
i keep bonding with people over it and introducing it to others...

not really familiar with their previous work, except for one song, which i recommend everyone checks out - Psychotic Girl...

i'll see if i can track down a youtube video to post/share in here.

i just bought their new cd 'el camino'

i haven't listened to it yet but i'm excited..
i heard a preview and critical review on npr's fresh air and it sounded great

^i got it for x-mas myself! it's great. i think you'll love it through to the end. after hearing 'lonely boy' (which is a great video too!) i had to have the new album. i like their sound a lot.....kind of a good mix of 50's garage/rockabilly with a dash of vintage sonics/electronics....and the choral elements are a fantastic addition.

funnily,pat kind of resembles buddy holly. unless it's just the glasses?

I listened to 'el camino' once all the way through while I was doing some writing earlier today so I can't say I fully absorbed it, but I will definitely be playing it on repeat in my car

i just love how their sound feels old-timey and current all at once. such a great, cohesive fusion of genres imo.
