Those outfits are definitely along the "what the f**k was I thinking?" lines

^I liked that collection.. And I like those, maybe it's because the material doesn't look as light as the other ones. And they're more structured

And like pennyroyaltea said, it looks best when combined with something else

I think it'd really work for a woman if she wore a simple black heel (something like Givenchy S/S 12') with a super tailored blazer, it'd look so classic. (with the Salvatore Ferragamo or Hilfiger pants).

will you please post these if you know of more pajama looks...
because all we have so far is one look from LV that everyone shot...
plus that crazy julian schnabel- who always dresses like that and has for years---and i don't think anyone is looking to him for fashion tips..

:p

we need more than this for it to qualify as any sort of trend...
thanks!

I was referring to Resort 2012 btw (Celine & Vanessa Bruno):

The Stella McCartney look I was thinking turned out to be from SS12 as posted. :flower:
Another pajama look from Marni FW11:

Giles Deacon has done a pair of Tiger print Pajama's for his Pre-fall 2012 collection.

I'd do one piece, but the whole look it's a little too much; although I love the twins in Tom Ford.

thanks everyone for all of the jammies as daywear goodness:p

I've seen college age hipsters around Seattle rocking this trend and they pull it off quite well. wish i had a camera and the nerve to snap their photos! I love fashion and style but I usually slum it on my days off in my black leisure pants (aka black fitted pajama bottoms.) i'm sure i'm not foolin anybody but i'm always on the look out for uber comfy pajama style pants. the silk bottoms are an upgrade and would work nicely for when i wanna slink around and find even jeans to restricting.

Here's another take on PJ dressing from over 10 years ago: a loose, easy going, non-literal interpretation.

Love the soft, washed out, fluid fabrics. I see shades of 90s Missoni and Marc Jacobs.

This trend looks dumb. I'm sorry, but whenever I see someone dressed like this, my first thought is that they just rolled out of bed.

I'm not into the "total looks" that magazines and stylists(?) tend to go for... I prefer the mix and match because it doesn't look as fashion victim-y.

If people can wear jeggings and uggs, pajamas can definetely become more mainstream and I see it happening already lol.

This is absolutely an interesting trend. However whether or not it is good is a kind of debatable. Conceptually it is fine. I mean "pyjamas" are kind of just defined as loose fitted with piping details right? Mix and match is critical in my opinion, especially in a kind of "I'm being ironic and laughing at myself way". Otherwise, it is definitely way too fashion victim.

^I would say the material is also a part of the definition
