Repossi

Next door at Repossi, the 21-year-old Gaia Repossi has sparked a revolution with her childhood pal, Eugenie Niarchos. Keen to inject a youth factor in her father's company, which dates to 1920s Turin and is tightly linked to Monaco's royal family, Repossi and Niarchos have created Czarina, a filigree collection inspired by Russian iconography. Produced in four different golds, the 11 pieces range from earrings (prices from €480) to elongated rings and cuffs. Smart decisions include the use of rose-cut diamonds - "They look vintage and cost less," says Repossi - and black gold - "It keeps it understated enough for day."
In the meantime, wearing the medal-shaped pendant (prices from €1,680) is le dernier cri among the boys of the Jeunesse Jet Set, a trend started by Stavros Niarchos, Eugenie's brother. (They are the grandchildren of the late Greek shipping magnate.)

24k gold is pure gold, and is always yellow. Other metals are mixed in to make 14k, 18k etc. Depending on which metal is mixed, the color is changed. THerefore you can make gold in yellow, white, brown, black, pink, peach, green etc. Pink gold is made by alloying gold with copper.

They also often just plate it, as it is cheaper.

I love those - they do have a medieval look to them. I also like the fact they come in different colours of gold, my favourite being the pink, or as I call it Rose Gold. My wedding ring is Victorian rose gold & I would love more rose gold jewellery to go with it.

i really like that first cuff
looks really elegant...
