The 'D la Repubblica' Magazine Thread

i think i see something out of 16ans magazine - first job of E Alt where she was fashion director back in 1997. This season in printed magazines amazed me as a collector in a bad way: how you can grab a good team and the result turns out super poor. I mean i normally love Angelina, Mathilda and Alt is okay too and this bid D is already looking like a pedestrian Massimo Dutti or Zara Trafaluc lookbook. sad
I think it was vingt ans... and I have to disagree. I look at this I see VP when she was good. Especially Hymne à l'amour, it would hold its own when you put them side by side with vintage 80's VP, though no doubt it was made out of nostalgia.
Remember the... "big 4"? Just the idea of it belongs to an antique store, but if there's such a thing today there would be no Vogue in it, but D would be. I see this as 2 Emmanuelles (Alt + Emanuel Fernati) get their revenge on CN with a shoestring budget.

The fashion editorial "Reveries" by Théo de Gueltzl is stunning. I love the model, fashion styling, location, and photography.

Your floors are so reliably more interesting to look at than the shoots. But decent shoots all around nonetheless: Interesting that each coverstory is exclusive to their issue, and not just the typical one issue with 3 different covers. For a weekly publication, d's producing way way way more interesting concepts and superior fashion stories than a supposedly authoritative fashion rag like Carine’s biannual offering- which has become synonymous with a waste of paperstock publication.

Yeah, they need to focus more i think but sure they have good editorials.

Carine's CR is 50 euros!! it is so not worth it...

This fake Koller x Teller editorial. 🤣

Can always count on Liv to be always, reliably, consistently basic AF.

The star story of the issue is “A Journey Through Time”. Emanuel is proving more and more how good he is away from that hack Vogue.
