The Day Before : Behind the Scenes Documentaries by Loic Prigent

Thanks, I hadn't seen that clip.

I've seen the whole Fendi one now, and a very brief clip from the Proenza episode, but that's it! I really thought it would have found its way online by now...but maybe not. :(

just watched all the episodes and i must say that it was really interesting. especially the fact that jean paul gaultier never works with sketching! probably one of the only designers i know who doesnt, which is great because many great designers from the past like chanel also did not work with sketches. also, the fact that proenza schouler does not pay their models, but instead give the models clothes and such is mind blowing; those girls must feel so lucky.

ATTN French (and German too, I guess?) tFSers: The Day Before will air on Arte, at the beginning of 2010. :flower:

If you live in the US and have cox. Go to the on demand channel and choose freezone, movies, sundance fims.

darn  i'm so slow.. are these videos still on youtube?
i have no idea how to search for them...

^I've been searching daily, and i think the only one that ever appeared on Youtube was the Fendi one...

oh i see... so i guess everybody mentioning it here is seeing it on TV .. lucky  thanks anyway ilaughead

You can add myself into that state of emotional disrepair also. I really thought there would be some sign of them now, or indeed some sign of it being aired in another country, but so far all we know is that France gets it next year!

They really should. I'd buy them. I'm pretty sure a lot of people would buy them too.

 can anyone who's downloaded the fendi one upload it somewhere like megaupload/rapidshare etc.? I would really appreaciate it :flower:

If I knew how to upload them I so would. For people in the states, if you have time warner cable, its free movies on demand>sundance channel>day before series.

I've seen all of them, and I have to say my favorite is Fendi. But I absolutely enjoyed the JPG one because of his personality. Plus I loved how they caught the emotional side of the atelier while they watched their garments walk down the runway. It's such an inspiring and fascinating documentary.

So...now that fashion month is over... Any updates? Has anyone seen this available online/on DVD anywhere?

Yes, Fendi was my favorite also. Only because I thought the house has somewhat of a "serious" tone, but the workers are very happy and alive. And I especially loved how the workers complained how the girls just keep getting skinnier and skinnier.

The Gaultier one was more than amazing.

The Sonia Rykiel was heartwarming.

Didn't care much for PS.

I've only seen clips of JPG, Rykiel and Schouler :( I can't find Sundance on DirecTV.

I've seen whole of Fendi, I loved it. It was funny in the JPG clip how the tailors were "disturbed" by how long the bust (?) of the model was when they were fitting

it was aired on Sundance Channel and I got to see all episode. it was cool to see the Jean Paul Gaultier one. I was amazed how everything was done in his atelier.
