The Denim Review : femme

Body type: 5'3'' short legs 30-31 inseam small hips larger thighs and butt normally size 29-30

Great:
- Citizens of Humanity (they need to be tailored/shortened)
- Lucky Brand (rarely need to be shortened)
- Earl (need to be shortend)
- Paige (fits alot like Citizens)

So-so:
- I don't really have any so-so most jeans either fit or they really don't fit

Bad:
- Seven For All Mankind (can't even sqeeze my butt into any size/style)

Body Type: 5"3, 29-30" inseam (short legs), 27" waist, can be called slim..but not at all skinny, thighs are problem area

Good:
-Good ol' American Eagle Jeans (pretty much all styles fit well)
-Urban Behaviour (Canadian chain store I think...I despise this store...but 1 pair fits me like a glove while another pair i have is so bad that i wore it no more than 2 times)
-Taverniti SO
-Evisu
-Lux ankle zip jeans (at Urban Outfitters)-->most flattering skinny jeans

So-SO
-
Gap..hit or miss
-Old Navy...another hit or miss...tends to be either too tight or too loose
-Seven for All Mankind (i don't get the hype..doesn't fit me that well)
-Joe's Jeans (ok..this isn't really about the fit..but I'm not into the 'thin' material)

Bad:

-Jacob (Canadian)- good clothes..bad jeans (unflattering fit)
-Urban Behavior-hit or miss
-

Body Type: 5"6, 32-33" inseam, 25" waist, slim but definitely with hips and butt
Good:
-Earnest Sewn Harlan (the BEST!)
-Earnest Sewn Decca
-Any J Brands
-Diesel Lowky
-Nudie Super Slim Kim

So-SO
-
Tsubi Lean Bean (flatten my butt a bit)
-Seven for all Mankind bootcut (I look weird in bootcuts, but they fit ok I guess)
-Joe's Cigarette Leg (weird back pocket placement, IMO)

Bad:

-Blue Cults
-Diesel Keate
-Rock & Republic

Body Type: 5' 4", 27" waist, 33" hips, slightly pear shaped with a bit of a butt and average thighs, and short inseam.. like 29-30"
Good:
Citizens of Humanity flares (after being hemmed)
H&M Sqin (skinny fit)

So-SO
Antik Denim. Can't wear them the way they're supposed to, have to pull them down a little for them to look good.
Rock and Republic. Flatten butt, but otherwise good I suppose.
Diesel. Thighs are sooo tiny for the size waist I am.

Bad:
Levis. Never, not any of them.
Lucky Brand. Fit oh so terribly.
Seven for All Mankind. Fits nicely up to the hips and then seems like they forgot two inches of fabric at the waist...

i want to revive this!

Body type
Slim but curvey (I have a butt and some thighs), 5'7-5'8, long-ish legs at 33'' actual inseam, 26'' actual waist and the usual tagged size on most jeans. (There's lots of pics of me if you look into my profile wearing jeans :p to get a better idea of body type)

Fantastic

April 77 Joey Overdrives 2006 sz 25
Diesel Matic Raw sz 24 * Diesel makes great fitting jeans
JBrand 912 sz 25
Earnest Sewen Harlan sz 26
Pure Blue Japan "Ladys" skinny in one-wash sz 1
Skull Lindas by an Alchemist sz 1
(the last two are japanese levi's reproduction jean brands)

Horrible
G-Star's more recent cuts... I have absolutely no clue what happened there because I bought a pair of jeans from them two years ago and they fit absolutely perfect, now there's too much room in the seat area and not enough inseam and I'm not too fond of the cuts.
Levi's new cuts...same as GStar. I had generic/cheap jeans from there that I'd do painting in that still made my butt look good, but now there's extra room where my butt meets my thighs and the only cut I want is ~$250 for poor quality denim and a mediocre fit on me at least. gross.

All I know is that a lot of the major brands and major skinny denim lines aren't that great (prolly because the price v. quality makes them suck imo--and I don't appreciate really lightweight or thin denim with fake fades)
