I love fabulous eyebrows. Its the first thing I notice on men/women. I tweeze and trim mine to natural perfection daily (for you fellow eyebrow tweezers, its hard to stop, no?) and that's the one facial feature that gets all the attention.

Anyone else experience this eyebrow-mania?

Yes I know what you mean!
I'm growing mine out right now, which is disgusting, but I love full eyebrows.
I seem to notice teeth first on people, then eyebrows, then hands....

I, too, am an eyebrow fanatic. I am constantly maintaining, which means plucking, brushing, trimming, etc. on an every-other-day basis. I am pretty happy with the shape right now, although sometimes I do go all the way and let them grow out, starting fresh, even though it drives me crazy!

I read somewhere that well-shaped eyebrows can make or break a beautiful face--I really believe this! Not that I have the most beautiful face , but I feel prettiest when my eyebrows are in tip-top shape.

dum-dum-dee-dum, get ready for some stupid questions

where can you get your eyebows professionally tweezed (are there eyebrow stylists? ) and how much does it cost?

what should you do if your eyebrows are nearly invisible (aka very blonde)?

how do you know what shape is right for you?

Those aren't dumb questions at all! You can get them professionally waxed anywhere (10-20$), but I don't know about tweezed. There are eyebrow stylists, I don't know of any except Anastasia

If they're blonde, you can also have them tinted at a salon. A friend of mine is fair-skinned and fair-haired, so she has to have them tinted every two weeks.

The right shape will almost just happen if you pay attention to a few things: pick the right fullness for your features (the bigger the features, the fuller the brow); making sure they don't 'end' to soon (some folks like to tweeze their eyebrows til they end where the slight arch should be); and most important, make sure they begin a tad before your eyes do (another faux pas is to start them too far in).

My eyebrow saving grace is my bonne bell eyeliner. A little bit of help from a pencil helps to shape it and fill in any sparse areas.

Very important, they make or break you face

i can leave the house w/out make up...but never w/out my eyebrows...mine is also VERY light...ppl always say its invisible (but i can see them!!) so i always PUT my eyebrow on w/pencil then some eyeshadow to fill it in..

my eyebrows look very natural. the shape and everything is maintained daily though!!! and every night and day i put TALIKA on them. just like the lashes (this one is speciallly for brows!)
however, i cant stand thin eyebrows. i think it looks bad on anyone. they gotta be full and shaped. thin eyebrows make the face look too strict

i think i spend too much times on my brow each day... every opportunity i have u'll see me sitting in front of a mirror tweezing them

Digi, a good waxer will show you your natural arch and how your eybrows should look. All you want to do is take a little from underneath to open up your eye, and from in between (you obviously don't want a unibrow.... or do you?!)

If you don't want to get them tinted, I use the Body Shop's eyebrow powder, comes in a tiny kit, swipe the tiny brush into the tiny powder and brush onto your brows, SO natural, I can't live without it. Or find another brow powder that you like!

oh, thank you!

how did you know i was planning a unibrow revival?   gosh'durn'it, back to the drawing board!

Yes, I agree.... the unibrow also goes well with the ever-so-popular Mullet, did you know?!

   :x

I hate tweezing my brows, but on the other hand, when I have tweezed I feel very good. But I just hate tweezing, it hurts :(

Like last night I ws going out, but haven't tweezed my brows in a month or so, I shaved them. I looked good though.

ah i love my brows........they are so thick and nicely shaped
( not on my avatar though :o they look like the go / ) :x

I have to spend time on mine.

They would take over my face if I left them alone. (Noel Gallagher, Denis Healey etc.)

brows can make or break a face, IMO! Luckily i don't have bushy brows, so i just tweeze the strays and keep them a nice natural shape. I think Glamour mag once featured different brows on celebs. sort of like "before & after" I love Christy Turlington and Catherine Zeta Jones' brows. Liz Hurley has had the best brow makeover ever, IMO. Madonna a close second!

The celebrity eyebrows that appeal to me belong to Jennifer Lopez, Kirstie Alley and Lara Flynn Boyle. I don't like the shape of Madonna's in that pic, they don't have much of a shape, more like a straightish-curve.

i don't like Madonna's per se, either--but they are a big improvement on her 'Oscar the Grouch' black caterpillars of the early/mid 80's.

OMG, brows are SOO important to me. my BF thinks its weird that i spend more time on them than i do my makeup (3 minutes maybe compared to about 1 minute for my whole face (my minimal face, with mascara, lipgloss, cream blush) but suffice it to say if I was going on Survivor, I'd definitely bring tweezers as my luxury item. OMG! weeks without tweezers? Inconceivable!
On a side note, I love looking at other people's brow shapes and seeing how they work with or don't work with the person's features. Full brows are definitely more in style. two people's brows I love are Jewel, and Halle Berry. One brow that i HATE HATE HATE is Brooke Shields. I dunno why, but they bug me so much I just wanna rip em off her face. Am I weird??

I've always liked Winona's brows.

And Gwyneth's

Cate's are very natural, too.
