The Killers will release their 3rd studio album, Day & Age, on November 25th on Vertigo Records. The album is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2006’s Sam’s Town and 2004’s Hot Fuss and contains ten songs, including stunning first single “Human.”

After bursting onto the international stage with the multi-million selling Hot Fuss, The Killers have experienced a whirlwind of success all around the world. The Las Vegas-based 4-piece – Brandon Flowers (vocals/keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitars), Mark Stoermer (bass), and Ronnie Vannucci (drums) – saw their debut album take on a life of its own as the success of singles like Mr Brightside, All These Things That I’ve Done and Somebody Told Me became bone fide pop rock anthems across multiple continents. In 2006, their second album Sam’s Town showcased a slightly different side to The Killers, a brilliant and heartfelt love letter to their hometown which broadened their still distinct sound. The album was another multi-platinum hit that saw the band cemented their position as one of America’s biggest musical exports and won the band two Brit Awards in 2006 at a ceremony in which their fire-drenched performance of #2 single When You Were Young was the highlight of the ceremony. Further singles Read My Mind and Bones, with its Tim Burton-directed video, gave the album the massive radio hits and longstanding success that lodged the album in the chart continuously since its release. 2007 gave fans the band’s stellar, critically-acclaimed B-side collection, Sawdust, which included a much-lauded collaboration with Lou Reed, Tranquilize[/FONT]

Sawdust also provided the band with another fruitful pairing: their first time working with producer Stuart Price (he contributed production to the song “Sweet Talk,” in addition to a Grammy-nominated remix of Hot Fuss’s “Mr. Brightside” and the band’s 2007 Christmas single “Don’t Shoot Me Santa”). Immediately recognizing the unique synergy at play, Price and The Killers began work on some new songs and the band soon asked him to helm their next album’s production. Recorded at the band’s own studio in Las Vegas, as well as Price’s studio in London, Day & Age is The Killers at their very best. With 12 million sales under their belts already, Day & Age is filled with the soaring vocals, epic choruses and the remarkable songwriting that has won them legions of fans, radio & chart hits and multiple awards worldwide.

From the synth atmospherics of first single “Human” to the powerful, chunky guitars and horn swells of “Losing Touch” to the dazzling anthemic “Spaceman,” which has recently been included in the band’s live set headlining festivals across Europe and the UK, the songs on Day & Age are endlessly impressive. Never ones to stagnate their sound, the album also contains some of The Killers’ most adventurous material – “Goodnight, Travel Well” is a seven-minute long epic, while “I Can’t Stay” mixes one of Flowers’ most memorable choruses with shimmering, hazy tropicalia. Yet, for all the musical terrain they cover, the end result remains the same: it sounds like The Killers and it sounds spectacular.

Day & Age’s cover artwork has been created by British artist Paul Normansell, who has painted individual portraits of each band member.
