The Last Movie You Saw?

Wicker Park
Halloween: H20
Halloween: Resurrection

BlacKkKlansman - I'm not the biggest Spike Lee fan other than Malcolm X. But I thought the storytelling and acting was terrific but the overall message I didn't really care for nonetheless a decent film.

Leave No Trace - Visually beautiful and the overall message and themes of Ben Foster character and his daughter dealing with PTSD, isolation, and homelessness were excellently showcased. But the actual film was a slightly boring to me. There wasn't a moment that truly engaged me other than the last five minutes.

I adored the BlacKkKlansman!!! Yesterday I watched Cruel Intentions and it was good but I hated the end lol

A Star Is Born. I liked Lady Gaga's acting especially at the beginning when she was a 'normal' person, vulnerable, insecure, etc. But then she becomes Lady Gaga with her diva attitude, and her last performance was like Whitney Houston in The Bodyguard except that Gaga cannot sing as well as Whitney. Gaga's voice is not that great, she works her butt off for sure but she just doesn't have that gift. On the other hand, Bradley Cooper was awesome, both voice-wise and acting-wise. The movie was just ok, it could be shorter because at one point it gets so boring.

The Death of Stalin - A good political satire, it gave me a good laugh throughout.

Boy Erased: Lousy movie. Lucas Hedges looks like Frankenstein, he doesn't express anything, always the same dead face, and he looks too straight to me. The most interesting part, (the conversion therapy center) was so stupid, it looked more like a place where everybody was just sitting down and doing nothing, rather than a place of torture. The father of the gay kid looked almost ok at all times instead of rejective and intolerant. Poor acting, really bad!!!

"Susanne Bartsch: On Top." 2 thoughts. 1: she had her own exhibit @ FIT? Hella cool. 2: I'll never like Amanda Lepore.
