The Last Song

I like the book but I will not watch a movie because i can't stand Miley

I think she deserves a chance too.

I used to not be able to stand her as well, but I got past it.

^yeah same. The movie looks cute. Her boyfriend doesn't seem like the greatest of actors but hopefully it'll still be good.

He was in Neighbours, lol, like every other Australian actor. His brother is playing Thor in the upcoming movie - good looks run in that family :p

Anyone catch the livechat this past weekend with the cast? Pretty cool....was just catching up on it today. Everyone seemed like they were having a good time, and Miley & Liam are cute together :)

Here's one: http://blog.blush.com/index.php/movie-review-the-last-song/

To my surprise, however, I was pleased with the movie. You can’t help but get involved in the story and start rooting for Ronnie– especially when Liam Hemsworth comes into the scenes– making watching 1000 times more enjoyable. If you haven’t seen this man yet, hold onto your seats ladies– he’s one amazing hottie. If you weren’t planning on seeing this movie, see it just for the hot mansicle. One nice plot line is that Ronnie and her father share a common interest in music, and Ronnie is an exquisite piano player. In general, this story is about love, connection and the ability to accept her talents. Ronnie comes to understand that she should take advantage of her passions and secure for herself a real, productive future.
I know, I know - the Liam thing isn't going to get you! But at least the story is good, too...which matters the most.

There's another live chat with Miley, Nick Sparks and Liam tomorrow, if anyone is interested. I liked the last one with all the cast, so I'll try to catch the stream on Facebook....

The movie opens tomorrow! Is anyone going to go see it? Haven't seen too many reviews of it yet, but I tend to not listen to them anyway, lol. I did read that this was a "bonafide weepie" so I am most definitely going to bring in tissues with me! Let me know what you guys think if you go see it.

The movie here will come out in like 2 weeks, even though I don't think I want to see it, would rather watch Clash of the Titans.

There's some reviews already on imdb and they aren't that great ...

Has anyone in the states gone to see it yet? I still haven't had the chance, but some people I know saw it and really liked it....bawled, as per usual

I had read that Miley did a pretty good job in the movie, which is nice to hear! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it this weekend finally!

So any reviews from tFS-sers ?
Didn't get to see to this movie, besides with the rating of 3.0 that this movie has on imdb, who would be tempted to see it.

good movie

In my oppinion The Last Song is a good movie.
I would have never thought that I would like it because of Hannah Montana vs. Miley Cyrus being in it.
BUUUT, the movie was really entertaining, the music was fantastic and the actors did very good, too.

I can totally recommend it, but be ready to cry a bit because it's sad.

I saw it.
Miley sucked; the little boy playing her brother was good; the other guy (her boyfriend) was OK.

The storyline was OK, sad in the end.

I saw The Last Song last night. It is a good movie and I would recommend it.

Miley Cyrus was better than I thought she was going to be. She struggled a bit with the emotion in the one scene (at the hospital with her father when she learns he is dying). Other than that I thought her performance was good. Her piano playing was impressive as well.

Greg Kinnear, who plays her father, was excellent. The boy who plays her brother was also very good. Liam Hemsworth, who plays her love interest, was good, but not great.
