The Most Beautiful Dress You've Ever Seen...

I think Valentino makes some drop-dead gorgeous dresses.

I absolutely adore this dress that Caroline got to wear. This dress is so simple, yet elegant. The back is simply divine.

I forgot about that one! That dress is just so amazing. There's nothing better than a long black velvet evening dress and McQueen does velvet dresses so beautifully...and it moved SO stunningly! And that sprinkling of lace at the neck:blush:..............well, that collection was one of his absolute bests ever, so you can expect as much to see such memorable and such gorgeous clothes!

I think this dress looked far more better on Snejana, on Linda it's lookin' a bit cheap
I think that dress doesn't have the same effect it does when it's not held like Snejana held it...when it's just down (like on Linda), it's still beautiful but it just isn't the same! Weird, huh! I love that dress on Snejana SO much!

there are so many dresses i love. but as soon as i read the thread title i immediately tought about jp gaultier spring 07 couture

cestmagique: totally agree about that dress in #36. It was the dress of the season! Once on vacation, I was watching the waves come in on a particular beach, and was thinking how incredibly beautiful the gurgling sea foam was, and also how well McQueen had captured the motion and texture of the waves in this particular dress. And it's just a total knockout on its own anyway.

Two similar dresses, on the left Calvin Klein spring 2003, on the right Dolce and Gabbana spring 2001. I love the proportions of this particular design, and the two versions have little differences, but for me are very much going on the same line, and very beautiful.

I'm glad someone else admires it as well! You describe it perfectly. :crush: And I especially like the way it was shot in the editorial; it looks even better there than on the runway.

How could I have forgotten these!!!!!!!! The one that opened that show, the one Erin O'Connor wears....it's the most AMAZING dress EVER CREATED....EVER. It's my favorite dress to illustrate and I've illustrated it probably upwards of 10 times I just love drawing it SO much...well, you can tell by my icon, can't you!

woah this dress that alix* posted is amazing. i love the way that it goes from blood red to a rich mahogoney, to a deep wine red and then ulitimatley black.

As for my own favorite, i'll have to look extra hard for it!!!!
