The most controversial editorials

WHat's controversial with SILENT?

Does anyone remember the editorial with Lara, Sasha, irina K, Missy, Agyness, tasha T... "Rehab" from Vogue Italia... that was kind of controversial?!
I think vogue Italie wins the Award of controverse anyway :)

And "State of emergency" with Hilary and Iselin is one of my fav ed ever!!!

^Ooh, the Rehab editorial! That was amazing.

Controversial... the Jac ed on the beach Jalouse July 2008 shot by Chuando & Frey. That certainly raised quite a few eyebrows.

^ How do you not see anything controversial in that? I found it weird that a sixteen year old girl was clothed and posing like a VS model ...

I remember Baptême en diable was pretty controversial because Coco Rocha stated that if she had understood what the editorial was about then she wouldn't have done it. I still loved it though.

^ What was it about?
Don't they tell the model "what" they want her to express?

Jac was fourteen at the time... so controversial by the age of the model, but not by the pictures themselves...

i think steven meisel,jürgen teller, matthias vriens(the older storys) and steven klein are the most controversial photographers of the 90s

I think Best of the Season in Purple magazine by Terry Richardson was pretty controversial too, as far as an editorial goes when it comes to that.

I think Coco Rocha is supposed to be a Regan MacNeil-type figure, a young girl possessed by Satan. The pictures of her spitting out the milk and the description seem to point to that at least !

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the "No Smoking" editorial from VP April 2009. I remember thinking that it was pretty bold-- and hysterical-- at the time, and still do now.

Is faux-lesbianism in fashion editorials really that shocking anymore?

Fiction Noire starring Lara Stone shot by Steven Klein is quite controversial imo. Some pics are beyond trashy.
And Plaisir Solitaire shot by Steven Klein too for the last Vogue Hommes is a bit disgusting... Actually, I think Steven Klein's work is controversial.

maybe my idea of 'controversy' is warped but not a single editorial posted seemed controversial to me.i actually loved them.
