The Music From Alexander McQueen Shows (PLEASE READ POST #1 FOR FULL SOUNDTRACK LISTS)

Fall/Winter 2003
"??" - ??
"Genie in a Bottle (remix)" - Christina Aguilera
"I Think We're Alone Now (remix)" - Tiffany
"Hong Kong Garden" - Siouxsie Sioux and the Banshees

Fall/Winter 2003 'Scanners'

"My Way" - Sex Pistols
??? - Mix of a track that sounds very familiar but can't place it. Parts are very familiar to tracks used in Fall 09. Also sounds like Daft Punk, which I think has been mixed into this show's tracks a fair amount (i.e. their Alive 1997 mix)
Madama Butterfly: Un Bel Di Vedremo (used throughout and before "Hong Kong Garden" with the wind tunnel)
"Destroy Him My Robots" - Anthony Rother
"Little Computer People" - Anthony Rother
Vehicle sirens (used throughout)
"... Baby One More Time" - Britney Spears
"I Think We're Alone Now" - Tiffany

"Genie in a Bottle (Flave vs. Mad Boris Mix)" - Christina Aguilera
"Wir Tanzen im 4-eck" - Stereo Total
“This Town Ain’t Big Enough for Both of Us” - Sparks
"Hong Kong Garden" - Siouxsie Sioux and the Banshees

Didn't expect the tracklist for this show to be this extensive in the end. Also, I see the NGV Spotify playlist has taken a couple of cues from this page for the exhibition "Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse". I see you, NGV intern. I see you.

Bit of reordering and some additions.
Fall//Winter 1997 ‘It’s a Jungle Out There’
“Witch Doktor” - Armand Van Helden
Remix of "We Have Explosives" by Semtex (a.k.a The Future Sound of London) I think. Or one of the various parts they made for "We Have Explosives".
"The Trick" - The Prodigy

Between min 10:37 to 14:27 I can't figure out the two tracks. The second one (before Rock the Discotek) sounds like "Herd Killing" by Future Sound of London but also something from Fatboy Slim with the big beat/nu funk feel.

"Crunchy Bear" - Klarky Cat

Additional finds are in red. Found an abridged version of the show that's also (strangely) part of an ABC fashion special featuring Isabella Rossillini:

Back at it with McQueen's Givenchy shows and damn, these one's were frustrating. Not all the shows are accessible and some only have the shortest snippets. I know that somewhere out there, full clips are available (McQueen Vault, YOOX Net-A-Porter Group and Unforgettable Runway I suggest you cough up...). Some of these are remixed to death - in a good way - so may not seem right at first listen.

"Clipper" by Autechre is the opening track, and maybe a few more from Autechre was used throughout the soundtrack to add in a through line as their work matches the atmosphere the show was going for.

Thank you for coming back with updates. I’m trying to build accurate playlists based on your recent findings - I’m starting from 1993. I have credited: and will do so with anyone’s additions. If I have missed any tracks or researcher nods, please let me know. Building the rest will take a while…

^ Oh no worries! At this point finding the missing tracks and gaps happens at random. The perks of Spotify’s radio playlists is that it’ll play a random song that makes me go “oh wait…”.

Shazamming is a bloody nightmare nowadays. All these random micro influencer “DJs” and artists are the majority of what it picks up now. Thankful for all those that started the list before and also to McQueen Vault with their Instagram posts. The only thing to really tackle now is the men’s but finding the shows with tracks is a little harder and they’re usually abridged edited versions so the track lists are a bit more “squashed”.
