The O.C. Fashion

i don't watch it so much but i love some of the looks in these pics, although they're a little too put together for my style, i'm a lot more of a throw loadsa layers on and pile the jewellry up kinda girl. i love mischas outfit with the black bandeau dress and l/s white t underneath though...

I watch the show.. the absuridity in it is very fun.
But what I really like is the life style of these people. In fact I envy it.

i do really like a lot of the clothes on the show but sometimes it seems like the outfits are just trendy and expensive instead of incredibly interesting. plenty of people can have the same style as summer and marissa if they can afford to shop at scoop or kitson. but i still love the clothes! i  marissa's orange puff-sleeve jacket!

Wow, thanks for the pictures! I'm ashamed to admit that I rarely notice the fashion when I happen to catch this show... I  the outfit that Mischa is wearing in the last posted pic... simply adorable. I think the style fits the location and "high school" cast

i hate all the characters in the show- and there will never be a more stylish show than sex and the city

Well, yeeeeah... of course not ;)

^Offtopic but I hope they'll come up with another show like SATC fashion-wise.

I agree that it doesn't compare to satc fashion-wise but i think it works very well for a high school audience. It just wouldn't work to see some of the more gutsy, amazing or elegant satc clothes on the oc . . . I can't imagine marissa teetering around in sky-high jimmy choos and manolos on her way to class . . . the flats she wears are always really cute though . . .

Don't me wrong, I love all the fashions on SATC. But being 14, the styles from the OC are so much more realistic to me! Not that I could afford half the stuff on the show, but it still gives me fantastic ideas for outfits that I can actually wear, instead of just being all, "Oh my gosh, I love her shirt, but I could never wear one like that," like I was with SATC. It's nice to see a show for teens that still has amazing style.

I love both Marissa's and Summer's style, wish I had their lives! Also liked Anna's style when she was in the show. Anyone got any pictures of her?

I didn't mean to imply that the fashion on the OC isn't great because I think it is probably the best I've seen in a while and I love a lot, if not all of the clothes I've seen on the show . . . I just think it can't really be compared to satc because the styles of clothing and the people that are wearing them are so different. satc is more about older urban professional women and the oc is more laid back california style on a different group of people. Both shows have great trend-setting style with awesome designer clothes . . . I just meant to say that they can't really compare to each other because the styles, age groups and locations are so different that they call for a different aesthetic.

I don't know of I made that clearer, but sorry if it is nonsensical rambles!

I don't like her style as much as Marissa's and Summer's.

No, you make perfect sense! And I know exactly what you, and completely agree.

I think some of Anna's outfits were really out there, but at the same time I admired them for their quirkiness

Same with me. It's not like I would ever wear them, but I have to admire anything that's so different from my style.
