The 'Outfit Look-Alikes' Thread

^Oh bye at that one lmao, Gucci just took the dress & made it shorter... & Marques took like ten seconds less to make their dress

That Tom Ford/Ossie Clarke is so good!

I wonder if Marques Almeida knows where his inspiration comes from. I sometimes wonder if those heavily 90's inspired designers have the knowledges of their inspirations.

IMO, copy is a part of creative process, so i can accept that when it's done with integrity.
I really don't know how to feel about Hedi Slimane...
For me, he and Zuhair Murad are almost in the same league.

Not sure if this the right thread for this, but I passed a Michael Kors boutique and his accessories are completely copying Lagerfeld's work: Quilted bags that looked like complete Chanel replicas and little fuzzy things on them like the bags at Fendi.

^Saw that too, also some bags looking very much like Chloe's bags. His empire is expanding but seems like he's running out of ideas and begins to copy his fellow designers. Not good.

Truth of the matter is that Kors isn't alone in that. Many brands, including Gucci and Vuitton who are both primarily known as leather goods houses, have been subtly and not so subtly taking inspiration from both the 2.55 and the Boy bags Chanel is known for. Vuitton even went so far as to take the diagonal quilting from the 2.55 and amp it up.

Birkins are another bag that seemingly every brand has made some iteration of, from Saint Lauren'ts Sac du Jour to Gucci's new top handle bags iwth bamboo turn locks.

Great find! That SS2001 collection from HL had many Alaia references and we know how Alaia was influencial for McQueen...

I don't like that red Dior dress. It looks like it's suffering from split personality disorder.
