Truth of the matter is that Kors isn't alone in that. Many brands, including Gucci and Vuitton who are both primarily known as leather goods houses, have been subtly and not so subtly taking inspiration from both the 2.55 and the Boy bags Chanel is known for. Vuitton even went so far as to take the diagonal quilting from the 2.55 and amp it up.Not sure if this the right thread for this, but I passed a Michael Kors boutique and his accessories are completely copying Lagerfeld's work: Quilted bags that looked like complete Chanel replicas and little fuzzy things on them like the bags at Fendi.
