I can see it ... A light, bold plaid, long sleeved top with a funnel collar that can be pulled up over the chin. Only the plaid is diagonal in the second look ... not much of a change, although it's quite noticeable. But to my mind, they are more alike than they are different.

I don’t know much about Gucci because It’s never been my style so the surprise here for me was not the look-alike, It was the fact that Gucci’s heritage is indeed quite garish lol.

I don`t get Muraid, he basically just repeats Elie Saab (and put some other brand in occasionally). This much can`t be coincidence. I guess you really can`t plagiarize piece of clothing, just change the shade of color and that is a different dress. Is there something like copyrights generally in rtw design? I understand they can register a patent for some new textile material etc, but they can`t register a patent for every dress.

Btw, is Murad much cheaper than Elie Saab? It would explain the success...
