according to various websites is the same dress, not a look-alike

^It definitely isn't if you look at the HQ details of the dress, the embroidery is completely different, the neck embellishment isn't on the version worn by Erin and the neck is much longer on Erin's dress and the scissor-cut-bow detail on the front is non-existent on the one worn at the VMA's.

Yeah, that dress isn’t the original one. I checked some close-ups and it’s completely different as Chanelcouture09 said. Obviously they’ll never allow someone to wear a garment from Galliano’s collections because:

1) We all know the story behind.
2) The original dress is a museum piece.

it's a hard call cause I remember watching the backstage video for that show where Erin had to wear a very supportive undervest (for lack of a better description of what that thing actually was) that jutted out in order to support the bow out front. So if this were to be deconstructed to be worn by someone for a longer period of time than the show, I'd imagine a lot of the original piece would simply not make it to the real world dress. LOL! I think she owes Dior a cut of her salary for all the attention she's getting because of this dress and not because of whatever she does. And who is Rita Ora?! She's always in the news, she wears designer clothes, but I have never heard a song from her. Anyway there's more in common between the V. Wang and Versace than just the design; they're both hideous.

WOW. As much as Dior probably wants to distance itself away from JG, they really should pursue legal action in this case. It's such a cut and dry case here. Even the hair, while not exactly like the bust of Nefertiti, the whole look was plagiarized.

You guys, seriously, does anyone know how Zuhair Murad is still showing at Paris HC fashion week? no lawsuits brought against him for plagiarism? It honestly is so blatant and cut and dry. It makes the Fédération Française de la Couture look really bad that this is still going on.
