That Givenchy dress screams Julien Macdonald more than Benjamin Cho. Pulling photos of the twos together from 12 years ago to justify a possible copying is ridiculous.

Anyone who has a decent knowledge of Givenchy’s modern history knows that Julien MacDonald loved doing those things.

Reading this I expected for the dress to be a direct copy of something. It’s actually surprising to see that it’s a reference…

I get the optics of it all, but really, a bunch of designers should be raked through the coals.

Sure, it looks bad for him to have "copied" a friend who is no longer with us, but I really don't see how this is different than any of a handful of designers out here doing the same thing. Whilst being praised for their designs, nonetheless. By the same big watchdog account that has called him out.
