The 'Outfit Look-Alikes' Thread

Looks like ostrich feathers, but it seems to be much more expensive than that. Waiting for our Chanel expert Lola to answer the question!

I really don’t know lol.
It got to be a technical fabric. Maybe some kind of polyester, fake fur indeed as @susseinmcswanny said. Definitely something synthetic…

I know there were talks about a Met retrospective of Karl but the pandemic changed everything. We need to see those clothes!

That particular collection was really great. There’s one puffer dress! So striking!

Theoretically, the museum only needs one year to prepare the exhibition, but normally the calendar is two years ahead because of paperwork. Sometimes there are problems with borrowing some object, if there is more time then it is easier to get it. The exhibition about Karl will be a hit, so it is logical that they waited until more people from abroad could see it. It could also cooperation with museum from Europe and Asia so more paperwork and planning.

Someone also copied this silhouette group of dresses recently, but I don't remember who. It was lookbook and it was photographed from side, if I remember correctly

Not necessarily a look alike, but more having to do with technique.

Remember when everyone on social media went wild over Matthieu Blazy’s leather “jeans”? Well, turns out, he may have picked up a few tips fron Nicolas during his short time interning for Balenciaga in 2005. Here is Nicolas’s vegetable-dyed leather version from Balenciaga’s Spring 2010 collection. The other image comes from MB’s debut for Bottega. I thought this was interesting enough to share!

Jean Claude Jitrois has done the leather washed jeans for years even if it wasn’t as realistic as the Bottega Veneta ones…
