It’s probably hard to do a pop art dress, no matter how clever you are some obscure designer in the 60s likely already did that same thing.

And fun fact, Cardin made the Bar suit when he was a tailor before creating his house.

I’m hoping that JWA will explore those territories when approaching Dior. This is what I love the most in fashion. The mix of references, links adds a great deal of culture through design.

Because unlike a lot of designers, not much is known about JWA’s culture as a designer.

This Bottega Veneta sequin dress I presume to be fish themed looks like it started out cheetah themed, similar to this dress by Marguery Bolhagen from 1979, which then looks like this Halston getup "worn by Sandra Blumberg to Liza Minelli's birthday party in 1976"
