has anyone ever knowingly overdrafted their account for something they absolutely HAD to have? like a dress or shoes?

I've done this before when I know I'm getting money soon If you do it, make sure to take out some cash first so you can pay for food and stuff in the meantime without extra overdraft fees. I've been very tempted a few times recently but my current bank account thankfully declines if I'm about to overdraft!
