I would love to see how people organize their shoes.... I would like to remodel my closet. Here's how mine looks. I have boots in shoe boxes that aren't pictured

Does anyone else keep their shoes in the shoeboxes they came in? I started doing this and now I'm wondering if it's bad for the shoes. I just think everything stays neater that way and the shoes don't get as bent out of shape.

i do that. it keeps everything more tidy for me.

Talk about non-designers! Those shoes on the bottom left are Soda clog sandals, which were $32.90 brand new. Cheap fun!

i keep most of my shoes in their boxes for storage purposes. the only ones not in the box are ones where the boxes got destroyed or they didn't come with boxes.

i have a large closet (not a walk in though) but i don't know how to organize my shoes. currently, they are stacked on top of my closet above my clothes in their boxes while the non boxed ones are on the floor in my closet.

someone with about 100 pairs of shoes, give me some advice on how to organize this mess! I even went online to the container store for an orgaization person to help me but i didnt get enough shoe storage in my plan. HELP!

i haev a shoe cabinet and it to full..all my other shoes (nice ones) i keep in boxes now.....i want to start getting the clear boxes so i can see what shoe are in which box

I keep my shoes and boots in boxes because I have too many pairs and not enough room to store them. My boots tend to look better (not wrinkled) when stored laying flat in their original boxes...

my closet is soooo tiny so i keep my shoes stacked in boxes with polaroid pics taped to the outside so i can see my shoes.. i actually told one of my friends the other night that i needed to move because i needed bigger closets for my clothes and shoes! insane, huh? but this thread is giving me great ideas for when i do move!

Half of my shoe collectionis organized nicely, with each pair of shoes in the boxes they came in. The other half...not so much. It's mostly Converse and flip-flops, but I just throw them in wherever and keep the nicer shoes in some sort of order. I think I need a better system, though!

I totally do!
And then when the boxes get worn out I transfer the shoes to clear plastic boxes... its helps...

My good good good shoes, I keep in their boxes... the others (since I have little closet space) are in shoe organizers that hang on the back of your door... I have two of them, but could really use three.

I moved in with my boyfriend in September and when all my stuff wouldn't fit in the apartment the first thing he made me get rid of was SHOES. I flipped.

Now, I have those white shelving units (like mabziegurl has her heels on) stacked 3 high in 3 different locations around the house. My tall boots are kept in the bottom of my closet, and on the top shelf of my closet are my really good heels. Most of my summer shoes have gone back to my mother's house for now.

Seriously, we are buying a new apartment in the spring just so that I can reunite my shoes.

I'm trying a new system, since I've exceeded ALL the indoor storage capacity. I put all the summer shoes in the garage, shoved the wedges under the bed, put boots in the back of the closet, and dedicated the door rack to my clog collection:
