Thank you and yes, my brother is a real sweetie! If I had a whole room (and tons of money) to devote to a closet, it would look something like this pic from closetsbydesign.com, with a bigger shoe cabinet of course. I would probably skip the chandelier though. A girl can dream!

My mom loves chandeliers, we have one in two of our bathrooms, one in the dining room, and one in the entry hall.

That closet is just...wow....I need to make me some mulah so I can have one some day!!!!!!!!!!!

So I was shoe shopping on ebay and I came across this pic of someones shoe closet and I just had to post! Enjoy.

i have just moved away thousands of miles to a new apartment. so i was not able to bring everything back but I realized how little shoes I have. But first thing i made sure of was that i had enough closet space and shoe space I got myself a custom made IKEA closet. I made sure I had a whole 50 cm section top to bottom stacked with shoe racks. I loved the idea but forgot how little you can fit into a rack like that. I can barely put 3 shoes in a row So I decided to put my summer stuff in boxes and stack the rest of them. Unfortunately, it is still a waste of precious space that I could use b/c of the fact that there is about a 20 cm gap in the back of the closet where the racks don't reach. Anyway, I will post a pic to show what I mean....

How I org my shoes

Here they are.. boxed, photoed and all stacked up. I believe putting them in a box will help the shoes stay in it's best condition. How do u store your shoes for best results?

aren't kepping them in the original boxes the best idea- easy to stack and recognise(black=gucci, white=blahnick etc)- and no bloody dusting!!

Emery - your clogs are fantastic!#

Apparently keeping them in the original box is the best way to store them, as they can breath and it protect the leather. But I love seeing my shoes out, here is some of them (I am in the process of making another tall shelf for the rest)
