To launch The Train - A new concept tradeshow - In New York City
A New Fashion and Design Trade Show Exclusively Dedicated to
Creative and Selective Collections in an Unprecedented Venue

FFPAPF, a leading European fashion force, which owns PRET A PORTER PARIS -
will introduce a new concept in tradeshows when it debuts in New York from
September 27 to 29, 2004.

More than a fashion show, will offer the alternative to creative and upscale
international collections looking for an efficient market place combined with an excellent image. It will present a one-of-a kind product proposition which will spotlight the best talents in fashion and accessories in an unconventional venue, Terminal Stores. The Train is being created as an innovative fashion experience where business meets art with special exhibitions, performances and more.
Designed with a unique European flare, will provide American buyers with no more
than 100 high profile talents from today's best European, Asian and American designers,carefully selected by a fashion team composed of both international fashion scouts and fashion editorialists. This stringent process will ensure that only top creative, innovative and upscale labels will be accepted at (60% of European's and Asians and 40% of American's).

The Train. By presenting the best from any design approach - fashion, beauty, accessories and home design - is a unique event - 75% dedicated to ready to wear, 15% to accessories and 10% to others. This new concept perfectly matches the needs of today's retailers who have extended the scope of their product offering beyond fashion.

To support this marketing approach, side galleries will also be opened to more exquisite and luxury brands, allowing them to take advantage of the logistics of a trade show yet in an amazing and personalized setting.

The Train is targeting top fashion buyers from department stores, concept stores, specialtystores and boutiques throughout the U.S. By invitation only.

haven't heard about it...but i'm not a buyer...chanel girl?...they will certainly have targeted holt renfrew...can you share your knowledge???...

it's certainly needed in the upscale market for young designers who can't afford a runway show but don't fit into the contemporary trade shows...
