The Worst Songs - Ever!

Swagger Jagger by Cher LLoyd.
I don't hate Cher, but that song is so horrible, it's even worser than Friday IMO.

Anything lady gaga and yes, I am fed up of Bruno Mars. Also those Disney kids, talentless annoying kids

Anything lady gaga
Seriously..

I also can't stand the lyrics/melody of everything I've heard from Adele, and I'm not impressed by her voice either, every time I hear her stuff at malls I feel like someone bought the American Idol Season 4 compilation, or any other compilation by a reality-show about singing, and just decide to bombard people with voice tricks. I also can't stand when people go like 'aww' every time they hear the first note or main chorus of her songs.. "don't-forget-me I beg" .. come on people :innocent::lol:.. and no, it's not about your relationship.

^ I don't mind Adele, but ALL her songs are about relationships which I find totally useless. And I agree with you about her voice, it just sounds she's in pain. But I do enjoy her melodies.

Thank you, I no longer feel alone in the world.

I think there are some very good artists who basically only write about relationships. Some of them don't have such a "professional" or acclaimed voice, but make interesting lyrics and melodies and touch us. The world is full of love songs, the thing is how you tell the story, you gotta make it interesting, make something different. When I first listened to Adele's album, I felt like I was always listening to the same song.

Talking about people everyone loves, I'll never get Beyoncé. Besides "Crazy In Love", "Countdown" (only because of the rhythm) and "Video Phone" (my fave, although it seems everyone hates this one :ninja:), I can't appreciate anything. "Ego" and "If I Were a Boy" hurt my ears. "Run the World" has nice rhythm, but it's just so silly, such a ridiculous attempt to make an empowerment message that I can't enjoy it. I'm not a fan of songs with "messages", but MIA's "Bad Girls" video is a good example of a singer trying to say something and making it interesting (props to Romain Gavras here).

But one of my top hated songs has to be "Firework". Now that's how you make a bad song. The perfect combination of bad lyrics, bad melody and bad voice.

Mohombi - "In Your Head" aka. the murderous borrowing of The Cranberrie's iconic "Zombie".

Absolutely shocking. I'm struggling to think of a more unashamed (and pathetic) rip-off of an original classic. In this case the slaughtering of Zombie's chorus, with it's subtle lyric change & minus Dolores' passion & unique vocal gymnastics.

What identifiable feature of a great song is up for grabs, to be ripped-off next?....... the dreamy last minute of Karma Police?

^ Yeah it's pretty awful. What's even more catastrophic is the fact that whoever was behind that single wasn't even trying to hide how talentless the guy is. His voice sounds like Internet Dial Up.

^ The techs could've tried editing-in some vocal gymnastics. Taking away the rip-off aspect of it, there would have at least being a laugh-out-loud factor when listening to it.

I first encountered this track watching a few music videos, a few weekends back.... late-night channel surfing. This single genuinely disturbed me to the point where i was actually thinking 'how could they?'.

Gotye's song. It's calmed down a little but it's horrible and it was EVERYWHERE, you'd turn on the radio in the car and switch stations and it was in at least 3 of them.. step out of the car and someone's playing it, go home and your neighbor had it (my neighbor still gets home blasting that song from his car everyday ). It's not even catchy.

Call me baby.. most random, vapid song ever. Same for Swagger Jagger.

^^Completely agree about Gotye's song. I literally cannot stand it. I also hate "We Are Young" by Fun. I hear them in every bodega in Brooklyn and at this point, if I walk into one and the song is playing, I just leave. I don't know if I've ever hated a song quite so much before that it would make me do such a thing!

For some reason, though...I cannot get enough of "Call Me Maybe."

We are young! I knew I was forgetting one more.

My sister also likes Call me baby. Surprising considering the backlash I received for my crush on Drake.:ninja:

9 words: "This girl is on fi-yeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrr."

^

Every single Mumford & Sons song. What a nightmare. EVERYWHERE they are.. make my ears bleed.
