I was ready to be disappointed by his collection this season because it has been such a boring NYFW so far, but I really like this a lot! Save for the few WTF?!-looks (those ugly pleather baggy pants again, the look with the oversized brown coat, the final dress ) I think this is great. I'm in love with the first outfit. A lot of those oversized blazers look amazing, they fit well and are flattering and just very cool. My only complaint is that this looks so much more like a Spring/Summer collection, but I'm loving all the shorts and mini skirts so I'll forgive him that. Overall one of my favorites so far

The silhouette of course.
skirts from the first part is a fresh touch for him, and materials overall are good.

The jackets and the coats are wonderful but the dresses are shapeless and unflattering.

Very solid collection; I love it. The simplicity and ease to wear, look quite luxurious.

loooove it, simply, but not boring !!!! One of the most favourite from NYFW !

it's not ground breaking but i can see this selling like hot cakes. i actually really like it despite it being so minimal.

It's a lot more sophisticated then his prior Theyskens' Theory collections. I think I see more good than bad pieces though... I think...

^ Agree on the pants: they look good, as do the few blazers here. Not sure about his offering almost exclusively short, above-the-knee skirts though. I'd like to see a bit more variety there.

It's all about shape it seems, and these are some lovely shapes.

Why do I keep wanting to compare Theyskens' Theory to Carven? I think they embrace similar cuts and have a similar sort of freshness.. but at the same time are not at all similar.
I think it's so typically Theyskens to have these boxy jackets and '80s coats with matching trousers which, when static, look rather severe, but when you see them in motion you see he's made them in the most feminine of drapey fabrics and they become something very different and beautiful.
And his proportions, how incredible are these proportions?

If only every Theyskens' Theory customer was 6' 2" and had matchstick legs.

I'm usually into the combination of short skirts with boots when done right, and here it looks just fantastic.

I simply adore the look no. 9 with the black fur blouse. Excellent.

the trouser looks and the tailored pieces are lovely and shows what an underrated tailor he is. the skirts and dresses (except those two last white looks)i find a bit redundant in their shapes though.

I agree, this collection is not ground-breaking. But there is something about it I just love. The proportions of oversized knits to the leather skirts etc is just spot on (though lets face it, it probably wouldn't quite look the same on me as it does the models). I would happily allow all of this into my wardrobe, and I think that sums up this collection: it will fly off the shelves.
