I think the velvet looks really lush and love the color but the shape of the dress is kinda dowdy, and not liking those shoes one bit.

actually i think that deep colour makes the impression of the shape very deceiving. i've seen tilda wear these shapes before and they've always suited her. and you know,she kind of looks like a walking august sander portrait from the 1930's. remember the secretary portrait?
