For quite some time now, Boys by Girls has been working closely with Vanity Teen; only recently, we collaborated with the magazine on our exclusive Teenpack opportunity, and for their issue 3 both Georgie and Cecilie contributed with exclusive work.
We’re excited to present you with a selection of photographs from the beautiful editorial series “Young Men In The City” where our editor-in-chief Cecilie Harris worked with stylist Chad Burton, Toby Wu (photographic assistant) and Fiona Tanner (grooming) to create an elegant six spread editorial series. Cecilie exclusively shares with us the story behind the striking photos. The series features models Rich Morris (Select Models) and Timothy Kelleher (D1 Models). Having worked with both models in the past, she thought it would be a great idea to bring together two of her personal model favorites in a combination that would create something really special.
The BBG photographer captured a magical story about an amazing friendship between two youthful, innocent guys. She worked together with Chad to really draw attention to the innocence of the boys through white, simplistic clothing including relevant intricate details custom made by Chad – what a touch. An important aspect of the shoot was to maintain a realness about the photographs, hence the umbrella, as it just so happened to be raining that day.
You never know what you’re going to get with Vanity Teen, and the third and most recent issue is perhaps their most quirky and coolest one yet. Separated into three delicate packs, the magazine includes a selection of fold out posters in a variety of sizes, accompanied by a zine-inspired booklet. Vanity Teen is one of the rare publications that is pushing the boundaries of the term “magazine” – in a good way of course.
