Tokyo sales

Runner, if you don't mind me asking - how much were those horsehide shoes from c diem?
I saw them at UA harajuku 30% off and regret not getting them but had a plane to catch. I really have no good footwear.

IIRC, you are in SF? You should check out Gimmeshoes in Hayes Valley - they have a decent selection of shoes.

it seems that his flagship store in Daikanyama won "FX INTERNATIONAL INTERIOR DESIGN AWARDS" operated by FX magazine.
the store was designed by BLOCK ARCHITECTURE (below).
there is no picture to see except the two.

" who we are
Block architecture was set up in 1997 by partners Graeme Williamson and Zoe Smith (originally known as 24/seven design). During this time the practice has been commissioned to work on a broad range of commercial and residential work in London and recently in New York. We have also exhibited projects, installation and furniture in London, Hamburg, Frankfurt and last year at the Lisbon Bienalle in "Space Invaders" - a British council exhibition focusing on the work of 15 of the UKs most innovative practices.

what we do
Over the last few years we have developed an approach which uses the visual and psychological territories of the city as a reference in the development of ideas. city constantly informs what we do, we borrow from it, re-constituting parts, materials, objects, interactions in new or unexpected ways - for us the real interest doesn't so much lie in imagining the unimaginable. We look for the otherworldly in ordinary things, making vital the elements which construct our environment.

why we do it
In our design process we experiment with these elements in order to create architecture which aims to develop a more generic relationship between the public and creative intervention. This is because we believe that architecture should be accessible and relevant to culture. It should invite enquiry from, and engagement with, the people that use and interact with it. "
