Tom Ford F/W 2023.24 New York

Awesome news. Wonder if he will also tap Frida and Alessandra as creative consultants?

Both are accomplished designers though
I don’t think it will happen though. And thankfully it won’t happen…

There’s literally no reason for him to have as consultant people who used to work with Tom 20 years ago and who were based in Italy whereas he has always been located in London.

‘The only person I wish that should be part of the team is Samuele Failli who was the shoe designer of the early days and who designed the shoes at Alaia before Pieter came around.

There’s no need to recreate the past. They needs to move forward and to have a different and yet familiar approach to Tom Ford. While he is based in London I do think he needs an international studio…

Womenswear will be a first for Peter and even if his wife (Ford’s former personal assistant and later head of communication if I remember) wore Tom’s clothes most of her adult life, I think he might have an interesting perspective. After all as a couple his wife and him were « The Tom Ford man and woman ».

Oh he has a wife. Just saying!

But I would like for Peter to do what Tom did to Gucci in the 90’s.

Sharp, edgy, sexual and glamorous

Wonder if Peter Hawkings will retain Carine et co.?

just can’t get over it!!
I hope not, a good chunk of her recent styling looks like it was done by a 13 year-old.

Alastair McKimm (Bottega Veneta, Marc Jacobs), Elodie David Touboul (Nº21, Rokh), Paul Sinclaire (YSL) could push this brand forward a bit.

Would be funny if he would hire Emmanuelle Alt to replace Carine

TF's work from YSL and Gucci was glamorous since he brought back late 70s decadence in the midst of 90s minimalism. My fav collections of his is rendition of Collection 40 and Opium for YSL. Both were perfection.

I also like his Gucci Fall 1999 collection. Quite similar to Tom Ford’s Fall 2013

It's up on the website and they have shot a web campaign for this.
