He's really one of the first 'star designers', but I always found there to be an air of, I dunno, merit, to his vanity. I'm not giving him a pass, but how many other designers are as publicly synonymous with their brands as Tom Ford? Not even Karl Lagerfeld.
Why should they receive criticism for being in their own campaigns if they are synonymous of their own brands.
He is not the first one to do it and probably not the last one to do it but we enjoy it because of him.
He is not Jason Wu (who look totally out of place in his campaigns).
I'm always amused by his vanity. I love him and it's ridiculous and fun at the same time...Anytime it happens.
Good campaign but nothing will ever beat his Marilyn Minter's one.
