This thread needs a revival!!!

I just recently started listening to Tom Waits, and I think he's so great, his voice and music so uniquely expressive.

But I just wanted to bring up that Scarlett Johanson is making a cover album called "Scarlett Johanson sings Tom Waits". Basically the title explains what the album is going to be about, but what do you guys think of this? I actually am quite curious and can't wait to listen to this. Although it will be funny (and annoying) if all these Scarlett fans begin to like Waits because of this.

^Well, well, Tom Waits is such a well known artist already, that I doubt it will change much if all the Scarlett fans begin to like him because of her album.

Haha, which reminds me about a friend of mine who's fave artist actually is Tom Waits and on the question of who's the hottest femme actress always answers Scarlett

Tom is one of the loves of my life! and Small Change is the best album to sit and drink to brokenhearted. My perception of the world would be substantially less weird and wonderful if it weren't for him

When I was in Junior High I read a transcribed copy of 9th and Hennepin...I was instantely obsessed then, and still am now

Ah! 9th and Hennepin! I love that!

I always repeat "Missing my Son" to people just to get a laugh out of them and see how serious they take me. I managed it one time where someone thought I was completely serious until the very end. It was thrilling.
