Malaysia's top model Azura

Azura is one of Malaysia’s most successful top models. She is represented by Cilla Foong & Associates modeling agency.

Her 1.79m statuesque figure has strutted countless local and international runways, for major names like Marc Jacobs, Bernard Chandran, John Galliano Zang Toi and Ben De Lisi.

Her face has appeared on the cover of many magazines, and ad campaigns. In 2000, Azura became the face of Dior, and was featured in Dior’s ad campaign for Asia

She was ‘Model of the Year’ for 2003 Malaysia International Fashion Awards and 2008 Stylo KL Fashion Festival.

Anita Aziz, or simply known by her first name "Anita" is one of Malaysia's top fashion models. Standing at 5'10", Anita has modeled internationally - in Asia, Europe and US, and a few years ago she was represented by a London-based agency. She is one of the most sought-after models in Malaysia, appearing in countless magazines and catwalk shows!

Ethel Fong-Chalopin

Ethel Fong-Chalopin (born Ethel Fong Sau Yee on July 30, 1963) was one of Singapore’s top models in the 80’s, alongside supermodel Nora Ariffin, Hanis Hussey and Pat Kraal.

Like Nora, Ethel won a one-year contract with Ford Models Inc. She was in demand on the international circuit, appearing in catwalk shows in Europe and US, as well as in prestigious magazines like Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.

At 25, Ethel retired from modeling. She married her movie-producer husband in 1989, has two children and now resides at Chateau de Farcheville, France. She and her husband set up Story Plus Foundation to provide reading materials for underprivileged children.

Anna Bayle - World's First Asian Supermodel

Anna Bayle rightly deserves the "World's First Asian Supermodel" title.

Born in 1959, Anna achieved success in the late 70's to early 90's. She was a Catwalk Goddess and worked with all major designers, from Hong Kong to Paris to New York. The 'Anna Bayle Walk' became the walk of a decade, and was praised, copied and admired. Anna was touted the “Model of the 80's”. Anna decided to retire in 1994.

Personally, I think there are many Thai models who can work in international career.
I didn't sure about this that much but 'Pancake' the girl who won Thai supermodel contest.
She won contract with IMG or Elite [don't sure]
but she prefers to work in Thailand to be a top superstar [actress, model, and presenter]
I think she looks like Bruna Tenorio in some angles.

Si Tanwiboon (Thailand) has recently got a show card from Elite Paris.
She won a national modelling competition 'Thai Supermodel' back in 2006. Currently she's one of the busiest models in Thailand.

Malaysia - Ling Tan (IMG), Ein Tan (Elite), Gwen Lu (Elite) and Amber Chia (Red). Also, Hannah Toolseram (Malaysian of Burmese origin) is the house-model for Versace in Milan, and Mary Lourdes Chandran (fashion designer Bernard Chandran's wife) used to work in Paris as house model for Jorge Rech - she was with Marilyn Gaulthier modelling agency - and she's gorgeous!!!!!!


Malaysia's top model Hana Toolseram is on the cover of GLAM June 2011. She spent many years in the 90's in Milan as a house model for the house of Versace.

Singapore supermodels!

Singapore - supermodel Nora Ariffin (Ford Models), Charmaine Harn (Elite), Jacqueline Alblas (Elite), Serene Chew (AVE), Denise Keller (IMG) and Junita Simon. Also, now retired Ethel Fong, Pat Kraal and Hanis Hussey (Yves Saint Laurent's muse).

Oh, there was also this top model from Singapore called Gurmit Kaur - in 1988, Gurmit arrived in Paris and became the muse of Yves Saint Laurent and she strutted the runways of many other great high fashion designers like Givenchy, Dior, Versace, Azzedine Alaia and Ferre.

Supermodel Nora Ariffin has switched agency - she is now with Elite (New York).
