Hey yall. I"m on a mission for some basic tops, tee, and tanks..(oh my).

I'm looking for cute, affordable, basic pieces in a form fitting style (off the shoulder, crew, tank, scoop neck). My only problems are, I need these is a nice thick material. I have these MAJOR ribs. I can't even think of wearing flimsy, form fitting tops...it just looks ridiculous. Also, I need them in a fairly long length, as I have a long torso...and I'm just not one to enjoy baring my belly on the average day.
Does anyone know of any brands that have tops like this for a decent price?...(up to $20 per top)

i wear the petit bateau tees a lot. they're in a good cotton quality and they're around 10 Euros (which translates into around $13-15). you can get them in a ton a different styles and colors and they are very long (i have a long torso as well ) .

I really like Petit Bateau tees as well, but they are a lot more expensive in the US. I only buy them on sale, but they retail for about 30-50 bucks! Which is ridiculous to me for a tee-shirt.

I have a longo torso and a wide ribcage myself, and I really like American Apparel- they are not expensive either:flower: and have a really large selection of colors.

i like the thickness of the cotton of michael stars...not sure about pricing...

i also love j crew...great styles and colours...reasonable prices and superior quality...

Ooo, there's Jcrew outlet about 45 minutes from my house.

Does anyone have any websites where this stuff is available. The closest place to find most name brands is an hour away...

I actually bought a few tees from Old Navy and was disapointed in the cut. The looser ones are...too loose. I"m looking for something tighter...and the tighter ones...too short. I hate how when you look for something form fitting you lose so much of the length. Just because I want something a lil tighter doesn't mean I want to bare my belly.

For white tees, I will just stick to the fruit of the loom cotton stretch for men  Just shrink in the wash and they're a good fit.

Cheap tees and tanks under 20$? I dunno.. forever 21? Though some of it is cheap looking.. sometimes I find something cute.

:woot: I get paid on Friday! Yayayayayay.

I have made a promise to myself...one thing at a time. I dub this paycheck the "t-shirt paycheck"

Which brand makes better quality clothing, J. Crew or the 'Cult of Fashionality' brand? :P
