Looks like every other New York brand right now, except they are European.

I really like that despite the minimalist aesthetic, they're closer to the likes of OG Jil Sander/Helmut Lang than being a another Philo copy.

If you look back at Elin Kling's personal style circa 2012, you'll see she's massively inspired by Helmut Lang, so your comment makes sense. I do remember her wearing old Céline, though, but I think she's way more of a HL girl.

Toteme is by no means one of my favorite brands, but every season they make at least one desirable thing that makes them stand out of the crowd, whether it's a coat, a top, or a pair of boots, they've earned their popularity for a reason.

All these minimalist Jil Sander/Philo/Lang etc inspired brands look the same. Pretty, tasteful and forgettable.

I like some of it, but it lacks soul. There's little in terms of silhouette, proportion, textures that makes it stand out, that feels like the imprint of a creator. I'd nevertheless rather have tons of this than the trash coming from Demna and the likes...
