A visiting Colorado shortly for work and was wondering what fashion related things there are to see. Anyone on here from Colorado

Well, I love Colorado! My dad used to live there!
But if you are going to Aspen definitely go shopping!
But Colorado isn't much know for it's fashion, more for it's out doors. So go outside and go for a hike! If you are going near Glenwood Springs, go to the hot springs pool, and there is a bike/hike trail that is so fun and leads up to a waterfall. Too bad it's not Winter, because skiing in Colorado is amazing!

Oh how interesting I come across this thread-I talked to my younger sister today who is in Colorado right now visiting my grandmother for her birthday. She lives in Estes Park, Colorado, about 1.5 to 2 hours outside Denver, it is a big tourist destination.

My sister said it was a bit humid, but not hot like where she normally lives on the east coast. I wouldnt pack anything too heavy, depending on what altitude you're at for evening you dont need anything heavy. And it's most likely shorts weather, if you wear shorts.

All good shopping is in Denver, I think, or yes, Aspen if you're in that area.

Lucky for you, Urban Stylin. I live in Colorado. I have for 12 years.

If you want to do any sort of decent shopping, you'll go to Denver or Aspen. Celebrities own homes in Aspen, and I know for sure there is a Dior and I believe a Louis Vuitton as well. Denver has nice malls. Two that come to mind are Cherry Creek and Park Meadows.

Cherry Creek is designer friendly with a LV and Burberry and Neiman Marcus. Other than that, it's got other mall-type stores like Gap, Camilla (prom dresses), Lacoste, Tiffany's, etc.

Park Meadows is south of Denver in Lone Tree, but it's along the same interstate to get into Denver, so it's simple to get back onto the interstate (I-25) the head up north to Denver. That mall has a Nordstrom, Armani Exchange, Sunglass Hut, Anthropologie, etc. It's more friendly for just regular shoppers like Pac Sun, Abercrombie, American Eagle, Urban Outfitters, and Forever 21. The food court is freakin' awesome!

BRING WATER. Speaking of altitude, you will get tired. My friend's fiancé from Australia got bloody noses and was always taking naps. It can be very dangerous to come to a place of such high altitude and try to go about your day normally. Sometimes it rains in the afternoon/evening. It has been the last few days, but it's mostly sunny. Lucky for us it only gets hot and never humid.

Yes, outdoors. We have lots of 14-ers (mountains over 14,000 feet) and trails. Colorado is (I think) the #1 state in the US for fit citizens. You will see lots of bikers.

As for what to pack Urban, pack mostly shorts and shirts. You will occasionally throw on a jacket, but I'm doubtful. The best thing about it here is, like I said, just hot. You never see wavy lines in the air because the air is cool here.

Oh how are you papa? Interesting to see and hear about this place I havent been to in awhile. Where are you, sounds like you are probably near where my grandmother lives, at least if you're somewhat near Denver?

I wouldnt (no offense) want to be there when it's cold, and the skiing is good, that is waaay too cold for me, and my mother when visiting her mother gets really dry skin because my grandmother lives at SUCH a high altitude, I think she lives close to 13 or 14,000 feet in Estes Park, have you ever been there?

It's the touristy town where elk and deer are EVERYWHERE.

I'm central Colorado. I've been here for 12 years, and I have never been skiing. It's actually quite a sin to most Coloradans. Lots of people -and I mean lots- will drop everything, pick up their board, and drive up to the mountains. It's quite popular, and this is probably the BEST place to do it.

Depending on where you are going, and it sounds like Colorado Springs, the nightlife is best downtown. Downtown actually has smaller boutiques that sell designer items like DvF. I had to do a lot of personal research to find such places in there, but it was a quite a surprise that there were a few (less than 5). There is a small independent movie theatre, lots of bars and clubs, boutiques, decent places to eat. Is there anything you fancy doing? I'm sure I can help you out.

My sister moved to Colorado a year ago. She lives in a teeny-tiny town east of Grand Junction. When I visited we went to Telluride and Ouray and had an incredible time. We went in the "off season" so the hotel was cheap.

I love Estes Park! My fiance and I are getting married there next year (hopefully at the Stanley - I need to pick our place ASAP!).

Growing up in western Iowa, my family and I were just about a 9-10 hour drive from there. So we visited about 2-3 times a year for a very long time. Last time I visited was last August with my father - we love the mountains and outdoors and Rocky Mountain National Park. Course, now that I live in LA it's not so easy to get out there. But hopefully before the wedding..

The strip of shops is adorable, though I always eat so much ice cream and pralines while I'm there. They have a cool old theatre, too.

Yeah, Colorado isn't much known for its fashion.. like others have said, Aspen is a mini-getaway for the celebrity crowd so you'd have luck there (if you're looking to spend $$$), if you're in the mountains. There are also the outlets in Silverthorne (off I-70), but nothing major there. Denver has some stuff, of course.

Colorado, to me, isn't inspiring fashion-wise, but in other ways... I always feel so refreshed and happy and at ease there. The mountains are beautiful.

Quite possibly my favorite state (after Iowa).

i loved Colorado springs and Denver beautiful place and very friendly people, Also lots to see, thenks Papa Levante for the tour!! Everyone that goes to Colorado should make sure they visit the garden of the gods, broadmoor hotel, the us olympic centre and also downtown denver...among so many other places

I enjoy downtown Denver, as well. You mentioned Colorado Springs, did you venture to Pikes Peek or the Royal Gorge? Goodness, I remember walked on the bridge at the Royal Gorge when I was smaller and being absolutely terrified.

i didnt visit pikes peak but my colleagues did and said its amazing there, being above the clouds
