Before Posting a new thread:
  • Please use the search function before posting a new topic.
  • Kindly avoid starting new threads on a specific trend before you have found examples of the trend in at least five different shows or collections. If you do not have the time to search and transload pictures from five different shows please take your observations to the pinned catwalk trends topic.
When posting a new thread title, please remember the following:
  • Please use correct titles when you want to make a thread on a show. Which means following the F/W 06.07 or S/S 06 formula when making a season specific trend thread. All other variations will be edited to match this guideline. Why F/W collections are listed with two years? Industrywise, fw seasons are always described as both 06 and 07, since winter lasts 'officially' until after the January sales. *General trend threads (that aren't season specific) naturally need not to worry about this.
  • Please focus on the wider trend frame when adding new topics. Instead of having titles such as 'skirts with buttons' and 'skirts with 'bag' high waists' please make 'roomy' titles that can encompass skirts, pants, jackets etc Examples of this - change the titles to 'buttons' and 'gathered waists' This way we can discuss the trend in a wider frame than just when spotted particularly on skirts..
  • Do not start a thread by leaving links only. Members are expected to introduce a trend and invite discussion by either describing it or posting a series of images to illustrate their new topic. New threads with only a link for members to click on will be removed without notice.
Tips on posting pictures:
  • We all want to see pictures, not red X's.
Pictures from Getty, wireimage, yahoo news, nymag.com and style.it expire after a certain period of time. If you do not want them to disappear from the thread, you might want to post them as an attachment or via an online picture sharer.
Crediting:
  • Always credit the pictures you post. Photo crediting is the professional thing to do, its good manners to give credit where credit is due. All images that are not credited as per tFS Crediting Rules will be subject to removal.
Reader-friendly thread making and posting:
  • Separate posted images to avoid endless long horizontal lines of pictures
  • When you post pictures, please be considerate of page loading. Our system allows you to post up to 15 images in one post, however, we encourage our members to preferably post that amount of pictures on thumbnails just so the navigation process stays friendly for everyone. At the same time, we also encourage our members not to split a series of images in one-picture posts as it takes up several pages and invites limited commentary. We strongly recommend sets of 6-8 images per post.
  • Do not quote pictures. If you quote someone's post, do not forget to remove the images from it.
  • Please keep in mind that Reposts - doesn't help our bandwidth at all.
  • Please try to be as specific as possible when posting photos by taking in consideration the topic title and the season stated (if any).
