She's more pathetic because her style is worse than all the other celeb designers.

When I heard I just rolled my eyes. I remember reading some interview where she said fashion was good and all but it really wasn't all that important to her she got tired of being known for that and wanted people in the street to talk to her about her roles and not her clothes. That's cool. Then she goes and gets behind this fashion label. Articles and headlines I've read about it have gone "Sienna Miller to start her own label" and then her sisters name as an after thought. It's like make up your mind. Also I hate hate hate when people justify their creative input into a line or collection with "I've always loved fashion so blah blah blah" I've always loved cake. That doesn't mean a bakery I open can stand on that argument. It's like GIVE ME A BREAK.
And like I said in the Olsens thread there are very very talented people out there that need to pay their dues and prove themselves worthy of the backing and investment that goes into a collection. Her sis may be really talented but I wont believe that there are other people that graduated her class and were "first class" too that have their own labels right now. If she was so talented she wouldn't need her sister going out there and giving such lame statements about the line. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think people buy Stella McCartney's stuff because her dad goes around saying she's talented. :innocent:

That is so true! People are confusing fashion interest with fashion talent. Just because you go shopping doesn't mean you're good enough to be a fashion designer. I bet my soul that most of the people on The Fashion Spot can design better than Sienna Miller!

I like her too, and also hope her line improves. Hopefully she'll take it seriously rather than just another Britney-like venture into the fashion industry.

if you're not producing a cd, you gotta have your own fashion line...to proof
you're not just an actor ;-)

true. i'd wish for her sister to do it all alone, she'd be better off and her talent would have a chance to really show, otherwise people would just think they are wearing "sienna" and not the work of the true designer.

i just don't dig sienna's fashion sense. it seems abhorring to me

She should stick to what she's good at....being in the tabloids.

Anybody know anything about who is putting it into production? Will it be hand-sewn, etc? When will it bow, who will be carrying it, price points, all that jazz?

My subscription to WWD expired so I dont have the inside scoop anymore. :( Have the run an article on it??

Haha, why do celebrities ALWAYS seem to make lines? The great majority of them suck. But I actually am interested in her line, I love her clothes & some of her outfits. YAY. :D

I know the guy from Pepe is the backer for the venture but thats all I know.

haha beautiful argument meens. :]

I can't stand her. I didn't know if I ever knew who she was before what's his name cheated on her with the nanny. rofl. Poor girl.

It's funny. You'd think more people would be behind Miller's line just because she gets a lot of credit for her style. I'm so glad its the opposite though. I don't think she dresses well at all. I mean, granted, it's better than some people out there, but it's nothing ground-breaking or new. She just wears baggy sweaters and tall heeled boots.

Do celebs actually design the line? Or do they hire teams to design it and then they ok it? Is that what Miller to do - just put her name on a label and call it her own when its others work?

Well I think they'd like us to think they have total control over the line...I remember Jennifer Lopez was filmed going to a factory to look at samples...but I really don't know if they just want to give the impression that they do all this or if they delegate the whole thing to someone else

no...her sister's going to do the designing (she graduated from st. martins..in knitwear, i believe..she's supposedly very talented, according to her instructors) B)

I don't like celebrity lines... Speaking of, who started this trend? Jennifer Lopez? Or was it before that?

I know fragrances was JLo though...
