I couldn't find a thread on layers, and I want to get my hair cut into them soon but I can't find any great pictures of the different types. When you google it the styles that come up are really shaggy and not very attractive, IMO, and what I'm looking for are simple layers on medium/long hair that give shape but aren't thinned out or choppy.

Does anyone have pictures of these haircuts on models or celebrities that aren't too styled? That's why I would prefer model pictures where the hair is more natural. I would really appreciate it!! Plus photos from the back of the hair would help.

It's just that all the photos I've seen aren't very clear as to how the hair is cut so I decided that maybe a thread would help.

Like these? This is what I think they look like...

You could easily blow dry your hair like this with a large round brush.

everytime a hairdresser brings up V layers, im like hale no! and *slap the scissors out of their hands* im not big on layers except a little bit in the front to frame the face. on myself i hate back layering or layers that thin out the fullness.

and the mullet look some girls like, *eep*

If you get a good layered cut, it can do wonders for your hair. I remember when i went for the plunge, I had longgg straight one length hair and decided to have lots of layers in the back. The volume it gave my hair was amazing and it was so easy to blow dry and required minimum styling. My hair has grown again and im thinking of doing it again..still deciding

I love layers...I do my own at home. It takes me awhile but its worth it haha. But when I do have enough money I will get it done by a professional it would probably look 10 times better...I find that some "emo" hairstyles are pretty nice. I love the cut but I dont like the colorfulness of some of these girls hair...But I Like these ones here:

^ That's sort of how my hair is cut, I think mine has much more texture to it then these girls and I don't have side bangs, mine are eyebrow length and really choppy.
Sun Goddess01: You probably don't need to save up too much money to achieve a look like that, I only paid $30 for my haircut and it looks way better than some of the hundred dollar ones I've gotten. :P I just maintain it by using a pair of cheap thinning shears from Ulta, whenever I feel it's getting bulky again I just run those puppy's through the ends and it looks like new again.
