STAND TO ATTENTION should have been the cover story COME ON !!!

I couldn't agree more. A cover shot was just right there. Let's cry over the umpteenth missed opportunity to elevate a magazine that is all potential but no will.

I don't know the first thing about Bridgerton or Nicola, but neither cover nor cover story meet the standard set by the other editorials. In the actual magazine, the cover story gets lost, and you forget about the cover altogether. None of it is enough to ruin an otherwise excellent issue, though.

I usually quite like Meinke Klein's work for Elle, but this is very disappointing. There's simply too much fabric, it seems suffocating.

My sentiments exactly. The cover is a bit of an eyesore and doesn't look much better on newsstands. You have to look close to see it's Nicola Coughlan and even then she's hard to find behind the mass of tulle. The colours are nice but the cover image itself is atrocious.

No wonder they released the April cover with Zoë Kravitz early online.
