UK GQ November 2025 : Josh O'Connor by Coco Capitán

US GQ put a basketball player for its new cover, and the guy is only known there. So I post Josh's for UK, which is more interesting as the lead

I am not convinced that Josh is the better cover subject. He always looks the same and the photography does not look fresh. I've seen it so many times before. At least the US GQ cover featuring Shai has an alive color scheme. To be honest, I do not like either cover subjects.

He always looks very smelly and dirty. Please shave the beard, glaze your face.

Italia did it better. GQ UK is as insufferable, obnoxious and intolerable as the BBC.

Josh is an odd one: He can look amazingly smouldering, simply outright sexy when shot from certain angles. And he can also look like a scrawny Cro-Magnon twerp when shot from the wrong angle. You can see the potential in some of these shots-- so unfortunate the photographer is so mid. He’s a fascinating man to look at. What he needs is a good trainer to put 20 pounds of sculpted beef on him, like that little sexy meatball Jeremy Allen White.Then he’d be unbearably sexy.
