The annual ‘Women of the Year’ issue, and more covers to follow...

Helena, Jorja, Ruth! Only looking forward to those.
This cover is by no means awful, but how many times have we seen it before? It's as tired and overplayed at Cate Blanchett on women's magazines. I hope this won't be the one that gets widely distributed. Last year it was Keira's.

Justine probably thought she can't possibly leave without giving Rosie one more cover despite the fact that she had one in June. I'll miss her (Justine!), but sometimes she's so predictable.

The whole shoot is an advert for Armani.

Hopefully only Cate's. Justine wouldnt let a Christmas pass without Chanel getting a cover. There's probably Kors too because he can pay his way.

UK Bazaar's Instagram has described Cate as "gracing the newsstand cover" which doesn't sound too encouraging.

Very much Armani, not much Cate. I miss her smile and her intense eyes. I first thought it was Bette Midler.
Why do we suddenly see a lot of Armani in magazines? It almost feels like the end is near?

It's Bazaar on autopilot. The spirit of elegance has departed the building, and in lieu of making an effort, we're gifted instead with a grey, crumpled and unglamorous cover shot.

The best I could say is that the lines of the garment look like a gothic topographic map.

I thought the exact same thing this morning because on WWD alone there are about 5 different articles about him within the past three days. With the most recent one, they even got industry professionals to speak about him..... almost as if he's dead already.
Remember this? Less than a month Karl passed away so Vogue must've known.

I think the flood of Armani pieces on WWD is because he is the recipient of the John B. Fairchild honor at this year's summit. But if Vogue starts posting old Armani shows, we'll know what's up.

On the subject of Harper's Bazaar: as much as I love Cate, I expected Helena Bonham Carter so I'm kind of disappointed so far. And an Armani advertorial doesn't really do it for me, thanks.

It's a nice cover, but not as gorgeous as her last year's October cover.

Wow, ok. I don't think platinum blonde suits her. And the amount of retouching is almost criminal and really, really bad (especially her cleavage in the black sparkly number with the deep V). To think Alexi is supposed to be a royal-approved photographer.

I don't like how the background fabric looks wrinkled but Cate looks good.

Helena's cover should have been the only one! It's quite in the vein of this magazine's aesthetic, but still a bit artistic. But the third shot of her in that Prada(?) dress is the single most sexiest image I've seen under Justine, lol. Love the drama as well.

I love Cate, she can rarely do wrong on covers and this is once again a beautiful shot but at the same time soo predictable!! Especially for a "woman of the year" issue. What has Cate really done in 2019 to be part of the group? Same goes for Rosie and Alexa.

HBC is a national treasure indeed! I'm sad that her gorgeous cover is being diluted by a multi-cover issue.
