Not even everyone's critique over Cate's makeup can put me off the newsstand cover! I think I'm the minority who thinks the pale makeup is fine... but maybe a stronger lip and eye wouldn't have gone amiss.

I thought the newsstand cover looked extra beautiful in person, and over the weekend I definitely intended to grab myself a copy... until I noticed the handful of copies M&S received were all scuffed. I'll be keeping my eye out for a clean copy, for sure!

I bought the issue today. It's nice that a magazine like British Bazaar exists. A beautiful alternative to what is being offered by most of the magazines nowadays (Gigi-Kendall-Balenciaga-Instagram-Balmain-pop stars-type of aesthetics). While the imagery sometimes might look monotonous online, it's really soothing in real life. Not to mention that the magazine is a perfect ambassador of the British spirit.
