UK Harper's Bazaar December 2016 : Keira Knightley by Alexi Lubomirski

She looks good, but it's rather generic. I see they changed positions of the month and website tags, not liking it.

Wow, Chanel is really pushing their faces for December.

Keira looks gorgeous though, I can never get tired of seeing her in magazines.

On why she thinks parental leave should be equal for both men and women:

'I think paternity leave should be the same as maternity leave. It's shocking. Because you need that option. And actually, when you're thinking about an employer looking

at a man and a woman thinking, "Well, at some point you could take nine months or however long off, and the guy doesn't have to." Don't tell me that that doesn't come into it! You need to be a family unit, not just have the guy there for two weeks and then go back to work and the mother left desperately trying to figure it out. I think it's archaic that there aren't better options.'

On the cost of childcare:

'One of the things that is so shocking in this country is that childcare is unbelievably expensive. It should be, it's an amazing thing if you're good at it. It's incredibly difficult, it should be well paid. But there is no option for a woman to go back to work unless she's being paid really, really well and can afford full-time care before [her child can] get into nursery. I think I've become unbelievably aware of that and how lucky I've been to be able to afford really good childcare, because otherwise it would be at least four years out of my career. I wouldn't be able to get back to where I'd been if I'd taken four years out. I think that's the same for most women. And I think that's really hard.'

On embracing the changes to her body since the birth of her daughter Edie:

'It's a different body, as it should be, because it's done an extraordinary thing…I thought I was going to go, "God, I've got to get back into shape." I actually went completely the opposite. I went, "F**k that, I'm not putting that pressure on myself in any way." So it's taken me a long time to get back into my jeans. I'm nearly there. Not quite there, but nearly there…'

On her energetic daughter:

'[She is] like a ballistic missile. She's at about a million miles an hour from the second she wakes up to the moment she goes to sleep. She doesn't want you to help her do anything.'

Simply beautiful, festive, and she's wearing a lovely dress, but I seriously thought this was a reprint from her last Harper's cover. The setup looks identical to me.

I'm always happy to see Keira. The cover isn't my favourite, but I do love the first image for her editorial there, in the white dress. I'd have liked to see that on a cover.

I really miss her. I like all these pastels here. Good work.

Always love Keira Knightley on magazine covers, since I think she always photographs wonderfully. Keira's had some beautiful covers for Harper's Bazaar, and this one is no exception - I'm loving it. This is most definitely a huge upgrade from last month's bore.

I love Keira but I'm not enjoying this at all, they've zapped the life right out of her, it's all a bit too polished and generic.

Always love to see Keira on magazine. She photographs like a dream..agree with most of members here, not her best cover but still so much better than any other magazine's cover like VUK.

She looks lovely and it's a good cover but not terribly innovative..

Here is the subscribers' cover. ^_^
They are not so groundbreaking, but both pretty nice, although they do so wonderful covers, I would loved to see something festive. :ermm:

Keira's always a great cover girl, but I wonder if they've swopped the country gardens for glamour in the contents as well.

The white dress is gorgeous. I wish they would chosen that one as the cover, still gorgeous though.

+ Bazaar's Women of the Year portfolios!

I used to love KK back in the Bend it like Beckham, Pirates 1 and Pride & Prejudice days, but she's totally lost her appeal to me. I find her incredibly boring and pretentious, to the point of being off-putting.

This cover doesn't have anything remotely interesting to say or show.

Newsstand cover is pretty. (Ugh I can't seem to stop using that word today.) December is party dress season after all.

Subscriber cover is better, by a nose. I almost don't recognise her, which I like. Not because I don't like her (she's one actress I'm always happy to see on Harpers/Vogue), but because she looks more mature and anonymous modelesque.
