UK Vogue Digital Edition

This edition is pathetic. Every issue is disjointed, forgettable and amateurish. The photography is so pedestrian. Even Edward's Vogue felt more polished.

Each edit reeks of an attempt to have this edition of Vogue come across as "British" and full of "UK Pride" but it's such a vapid caricature of itself. And I really can't stand any of these. Even the main edit is dreadfully done.

wow beautiful stranger and glow & behold are f stunning!

Yes, I feel the same when a print issue arrives where I live.

That block font is just hideous and not working

Is that a skiwear editorial shot in a street?

I know they're trying to sell it as clothes you can "take out on the town" but it just looks like they didn't have the money to go anywhere with actual snow. Or the creativity to get inventive with an artificial ski slope.

I suppose I should be grateful they didn't CGI a winter wonderland and try to claim it's "creativity".

You made me realize how ridiculous the skiwear editorial is that it was shot in a street. I was just obsessed with the skiwear fashions and colors. This is the level of production that we are dealing with these days.

I love the skiwear look (not so sure I'd love the actual skiing) and for me, the best magazine for that is usually Tatler - at the very least, they tend to shoot where there's actually snow.

If Tatler ever end up doing a skiwear editorial in the street, we'll know the end of Conde Nast is truly nigh.

Absolutely, I remember seeing a fashion editorial shot in the snow not long ago (Tatler, Jan or Feb?) and it was very good. The quality of Tatler's fashion editorials is nothing to complain about. Yes, they might be exaggerated but they do that well.

Going through the actual print issue, the two beauty editorials are decent content for that section, and I like that the general theme of the main editorial section is "Outdoors".

It opens with that panoramic shot of Awar fishing, although there's been too much trickery for me to truly believe in the landscapes being shown. There are too many cost-cutting digitally-enhanced campaigns and editorials with fake backgrounds setting the standard.

I can't shake the feeling that everything would be done better by UK Bazaar - Raye would be presented on the front as glamorous, instead of the amateur dramatics of this paparazzi cover. The landscape shots would come across as much more authentic. They'd be hosting events in conjunction with the exhibitions being discussed on their pages. There wouldn't be Martin Parr outside of the Art section.

What I can appreciate from this issue is that it is packed with a lot of editorials and clothes (even though some of them are reprinted). If I buy a fashion magazine, I want to see a lot of clothes, and this issue delivers.. It's still a little bit disjointed but not as bad as Eugenie's Vogue France
