Oh I really like it! I’m so happy there seems to be a bit of a redesign (hopefully it’s reflected inside as well). I’m not mad on the font choice but I do think it’s an improvement - the design has felt so bland lately, and this at least has some punch.

Alexandra Shulman’s use of thick, chunky fonts on the cover for years means I nostalgically associate that kind of typography with that era of the magazine, even if it was quite messy at times. This kind of scratches that itch for me. No burning neon orange or pink here though.

I’ve had such an issue with my subscription. I tried to cancel it last year and they told me it wasn’t possible because I’m not the account holder (my subscription is a recurring gift) and then it randomly expired in May anyway, despite it being a full year subscription. Anyway, I don’t receive it anymore but I think I’ll pick this up from the shop when it’s out.

Anyway, I don’t receive it anymore but I think I’ll pick this up from the shop when it’s out.

Whatever system their subscription service uses to run things on... it badly needs an update which it probably won't ever get. They seem to assign you separate account numbers every time you take out a subscription for anything, they're unable to consolidate them under one account, and until they can, it's impossible to manage anything online through their portal.

Your account will show you as having no subscriptions when you're fully signed up for the year, and they will keep sending you offers to subscribe when you're already subscribed.

My main issue is the tension in her expression, like they showed her some cliché 'fashion'/'make your neck seem really long' imagery and then told her to hold it for 15 seconds, she looks in pain.

Awful. Hideous cover. A total waste of Michaela Coel. Not at all surprised to see something so underwhelming and eventful coming from British Vogue.

Chioma Nnadi has zilch to say as a head of editorial content. No sense of style, no voice… no nothing. None of her covers make a statement or even attempt to break new ground. This magazine is a shadow of its former self.
