I just couldn't help but gasp when the pic showed up. Is this really a fashion magazine??
Putting Mariah Carey on the cover is one thing, but just imagining that they actually thought about that picture, "styled" it and decided to use it as a cover is beyond me.

But I love the picture with Nick Cannon. You can see the chemistry between the two of them.

Fashion magazines are supposed to be aspirational above all else right?

With that in mind, what sensible, chic, flesh and blood grown woman would want to aspire to be Mariah Carey?

She's a prime example of how not to grow up gracefully.

I would except a well educated girl wanting to be a strong, healthy, powerful, respected & successful woman rather than some anorexic tabloid-wh*re junkie, who are on every damn covers nowadays. But maybe that's just me.

I think Mariah is incredibly photogenic and beautiful woman, but she never fits with the fashion magazines because it always comes out looking way to FHM or Maxim, but she seriously is glowing though, its nice to see her this happy.

I agree with you. Her pictures are nice, but photoshopped. But Mariah fans are used to the photshopping. I for one, have a love-hate relationship with her. I love her voice, her music, but hate (for the most part) how she dresses, poses, etc. But we can only accept her as she is. It seems that she is finally happy and she really deserves happiness after so long.

1.Elle has gone the way of cosmo which is NOT good.

God, help me if at her age I'm still walking around finding strength in cutesy charm bracelets filled with rainbows or whatever dressing like a hoochie in the same stretch dress from 1998.

Oh I just had a good laugh at this but you know what, she's happy, she's doing her thing and she's relatively inoffensive. I can't expect her to look good or even non-hootchie in photoshoots. She's just not that kind of woman - she is really one of those people whose style is completely different from anything I like but I'm almost glad she's not tasteful because that just isn't who she is.

Any word on the editorials inside? US Elle has had some semi-interesting edits lately.
