I think she is a positive role model for young girls when comes to body image. She is fit, lean and healthy.

but the way she is posing and the clothing they selected seems a bit trashy...
it would have been nice to see her in a summery dress by oscar de la renta, or one of the cute pieces from bottega..
it's like elle is saying "this is what women need to look like..."

She transitioned so easy from 7th Heaven to films. I totally forgot about her TV past while watching The Illusionist. She's a great actress, and gorgeous, too.

is it just me or does her face look photoshopped (and badly at that)? I hate how magazine's take this too far and then the person doesn't even look like themself anymore! I also agree there's wayyyy too much text, completely takes away from the covergirl.

I've always seen Jessica as someone who is famous and gets a lot of attention for nothing. She's never done anything spectacular, she's not an amazing actress and well, she's "hot" but not a beauty. *shrug*

I don't know, I don't think she's a great role model since she seems to be evoking that 90s touch - a sort of doubtful, questioning look, seemingly saying "oh am I pretty enough, does this look good, is this ok?" She looks pretty submissive and boring/safe....I did love the way she looked in Texas Chainsaw massacre though She's another one of those actresses who aren't terribly photogenic.

I do think it's kind of weird to assume someone is a good role model just because they say approximately the right thing, exercise rigorously and don't party hard. I mean, what if she's totally boring, what if she's mean....is that a great role model? I think Sasha is a better role model, for instance, not that I know much about her but she is expressive and creative

I think she looks great on the cover and I agree that her shot would have stood out more much without the ridiculous text. But I hope that rest of editorial is nothing like the second shot! I am not interested in seeing her bend over like that in any circumstances.
