US Elle March 2015 : Katy Perry by Michael Thompson

I like the styling but this looks like a US Vogue supplement cover.

I like the styling and the colours of the cover, it's the angle of her face that seems to be bothering me the most. It looks to forced, she could have juts looked face on & it would be so much better.

...I don't get the Fashion tag, it's like all the editors were sat in a conference room thinking "the cover looks a little bare let's all think of a word we can enlarge and sprawl obnoxiously across the cover!"

I do not understand her appeal. She has as much to offer as a Kardashian. Pass.

My problem with Elle is how instantly forgettable all the edits are. No one will remember those stories the minute they boot the magazine down. They absolutely never creat anything close to iconic which is sad because love him or hate him Gilles Bensimon create so many indelible images when he was at the helm. He's a perfect example of what a top photographer brings to the table.

Thanks poison84! I really like Dance Hall Days - the extras/locals/non-model models look great and add a lot. Looks like a solid issue!

(One complaint about Elle, is their too-frequent lack of established models. There's too many twenty-year-olds, new girls. Give me models who first made the scene in the nineties and early two-thousands!)

Wow, there is nothing standout about this issue at all. Minus a sparse few shots from the editorials and some of the wordy blurbs I skimmed through at the store, everything is completely and utterly forgettable.
