I’ll take it. She looks great but could have done something more with this direction of shoot. Utilize that fence more. Have a more cinematic shot. Her walking in front of the fence or a shot with her face behind the fence. Some more accessories would have been nice. A picture of her wearing a Saint Laurent earring while her face half covered by the fence post would have made a more interesting shot. Use those tires for something else.
And can we not get a picture of her smiling to be more tongue in cheek. Have some great sultry pictures here but you need the contrast. And then do something more moody, almost sad like. She is an actress she can do these different moods to create more of a story for this shoot.
Editors these days lack so much. But glad she got the cover and it’s not a bad shoot, it’s just we need more.

This issue is about 126 pages. About 24 pages are taken up by an extended advertorial section for Van Cleef & Arpels' Alhambra range. And between the cover story and the above 'new stars' portfolio, that's about it for editorial content.

Still, having Lindsay on the cover feels more of an event than what most other magazines are producing.

why do all the American magazines go with “Summer” now?

to have 10 print issues per year instead of twelve, apparently to save paper? something like that
they usually have a summer issue and a winter issue

For me, the issue is missing a proper fashion story.

Kate is over a decade older than Lindsay, apples to oranges.

But when she was the age Lindsay is now (late 30s), she looked far better both irl and in modelling terms, have we forgotten the famous sheer John Galliano wedding dress she wore to marry Jamie Hince? and without any obvious intervention too (she started with it only after she hit 40 and then more after 45, by the look of things)
